Derapi was founded to remove the integration barriers that make distributed energy harder to put to work. Today, our platform helps organizations like Enphase, Uplight, EnergyHub, and others connect devices, work with harmonized energy data, operate programs, and build applications that scale.
As our platform and role in the industry have evolved, we needed a brand that more clearly represents what makes distributed energy work: enabling independent resources to communicate, connect, and coordinate as part of a larger energy system.
Helping distributed energy find its signal
At the center of our new identity is the lightning bug: a symbol of distributed power, communication, and coordination.
Like distributed energy resources, each lightning bug is a small, independent source of energy. Its light acts as a signal, allowing many individual sources to connect and operate together.

Our new identity reflects the future we’re building toward: one where independent energy resources work together to deliver far greater impact than they can on their own.”

For Enphase, Derapi provided the platform, device access, and operational support behind a multi-megawatt virtual power plant participating in California’s Demand Side Grid Support program. The initiative launched in eight weeks, enrolled more than 2,000 batteries, and helped support fivefold year-over-year program revenue growth.
That is the kind of progress we want to make easier across the industry: faster launches, smoother market expansion, more connected resources, and energy programs that can grow without adding unnecessary complexity.
